Converting an old lightgun or building a 3d printed lightgun will require the use of a soldering iron. Even if you have never even held a soldering iron before, don’t let that stop you from building your own DIY lightgun. There are many online resources that will explain the process. Remember the first time you used a screwdriver? Probably not, but there was one day in your life where you picked up a screwdriver for the first time and the tip of the screwdriver skipped over the slots in the screw. You quickly learned that you need to push the screwdriver into the screw while you turn the screwdriver in order to make the screw turn. While soldering is not as simple as using a screwdriver, with a little practice you will find it easier than you thought.
